PPL Electric Utilities E-power Replacement Air Source Heat Pump Rebate

R.F. Ohl has some exciting news for consumers in the PPL Electric coverage. Effective March 1st, 2015, PPL has raised the rebate for the 16 seer units to $1,200.00.

To qualify, you must install a new air source heat pump (ASHP) system that meets these qualifications:

    • Have a cooling capacity between 18,000 and 65,000 btu/hr.
    • Meet minimum efficiency standards. ASHP systems must have an HSPF ≥ 8.2, a SEER rating of ≥ 15 AND an EER ≥ 12.
    • Be rated by the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). AHRI certificates may be downloaded at ahridirectory.org

and must accompany rebate submissions. Rebates will be paid based on the AHRI certificate efficiency.

  • Be installed in conjunction with a new evaporator coil.
  • To be eligible for the $1,200 rebate the unit must be installed after March 1, 2015.
  • The heat pump must be installed in a property with an active meter using PPL Electric Utilities services.
