R.F. Ohl Continues To Support Local Community With Fundraising Efforts
Lehighton, PA January 2015 – RF Ohl, a Lehighton, PA based family-owned and operated business, continues to participate in activities that promote and benefit local communities and organizations. Community involvement is a key part of the philosophy of RF Ohl. They believe that it is important to build a sense of community by participating in local events. It also builds a sense of morale by supporting a good cause. Steven Ohl, President and company spokesperson, stated, “We have always been committed to supporting our local community and we are looking forward to these supporting these two events.”
RF Ohl is engaging in two events this month and they would like your participation. The first event will be the daring Polar Plunge. St. Joseph Regional Academy will host its Second Annual “Be Cool for Our School” Polar Plunge. This event will take place on January 24, 2014 at Mauch Chunk Lake in Jim Thorpe. Registration begins at 9:30 and will close at 10:30. The first plunge into the frigid waters of the lake will take place at 11:00. Registration is $35. All proceeds go towards operating costs for the school. Participants are welcome to register as individuals, as teams, or as a “chicken”, someone who raises money, but does not take the plunge. For those of you that do take the plunge, RF Ohl is supplying on-site heaters so that you can thaw your bones after taking the plunge. Come laugh and join the endless fun!
The second event is a fundraising drive for the Berks & Schuylkill County Salvation Army/SHARE Program. All proceeds for this event will help those in need by helping families keep warm. All donations will directly help the heating needs of local area residents. The SHARE staff offers assistance to families in completing LIHEAP applications and they help keep families warm when they have no fuel. They refer agencies to help weatherize homes to reduce heating needs, as well as offer financial assistance in times of need. RF Ohl is providing support to this local fundraising event by donating funds. RF Ohl is asking everyone to find it in their hearts to give to the less fortunate. Ohl believes that every little bit helps and that anyone can make a difference in their local community. Kindly send your donations, made payable to the Salvation Army to:
